🌱 KTEC × E.SUN: Signing the ESG Sustainable Development Advocacy
The 2026 E.SUN ESG Sustainability Initiative took place on October 8, with Taiwan's President Lai Ching-te delivering remarks. KTEC President Cheng Chi-chun represented the company and co-signed the ESG Sustainable Development Advocacy with Joseph Huang, Chairman of E.SUN FHC and E.SUN Bank.
Accelerating the twin transition
Now in its sixth year, the initiative was held under the theme "Embracing Inclusion, Driving Prosperity" and brought together nearly 130 companies and institutions from Taiwan and abroad. President Lai Ching-te was invited to speak.
President Lai described the net-zero transition as a responsibility this generation must take on. He recognized E.SUN as a sustainability pioneer that uses the power of finance to help companies cut carbon and to take their transition experience to the world. He said the government will fully support corporate transformation, and encouraged the financial sector to pair green financing with technical guidance to help small and micro businesses upgrade equipment and improve processes. He also wrote a blessing card wishing Taiwan a sustainable future.
